Troubleshooting and system repairs:

Most system issues can be diagnosed and repaired on-site.  If you're having problems with a system at home, or your place of business, we will be happy to come to you, even if the system was not built and bought through us.*  Of course some issues cannot be fixed on-site, in which case we can arrange to bring the system back to the shop. Depending on the location, and complexity of your system, there may be an additional service charge of $15.00 to tear down and pick up your system.

Troubleshooting/repair fees:

Flat Rate:
(On-site, or in-shop)
$40.00 per hour in home/$50.00 per hour in office, one hour minimum. Billed in 30 minute increments after one hour.
Full system restoration: ** $100.00 up to eight hours. Billed in 30 minute increments after eight hours.
Hardware/Software upgrades: $45.00 per hour, one hour minimum. $25.00 per hour after one hour.

                                            Remote Troubleshooting:

We can also provide remote assistance for troubleshooting system issues.  There
is no charge for the first 30 minutes.  However, after 30 minutes normal troubleshooting
rates will apply (see above for home/office rates).  For this to work you will need to
download, or choose "Run",  and install a small file (below). Once that is in place you simply call us and we will guide you through the process to initiate the remote assistance.

If you recently purchased a "name brand" system from a major retailer and are not sure how to set it up, or configure it, we can also help you with that, just give us a call!***

Remember two important things:
#1: we will make no unauthorized repairs that have not been authorized by you, or a designated representative for you, and
#2: if we can't fix it, you don't pay. That simple!

 
* We cannot perform warranty work: this must be done by either the manufacturer of the system, or by the place of purchase.
** Includes data backup, delete hard drive, reformat hard drive and reinstall operating system.  Restore backup data and reinstall system drivers.  Additional software installation will incur an additional charge.
***Warranties are provided by the manufacturer of the system, or through the original point of purchase. RiverStone Computer Systems will not be held liable for any part of the system not operating properly after setup.
